A strong listing starts with a property that delivers what it promises. Every amenity selected on a platform should be present, working and accurately shown. A complete listing can help guests find relevant features through filters, but it cannot guarantee ranking.

Essential comfort

• A comfortable bed, clean linen, sufficient towels, curtains or blinds and storage.
• A working bathroom with hot water, toilet paper, soap, hair dryer and spare supplies.
• Reliable Wi-Fi, seasonal heating or cooling, accessible outlets and good lighting.
• A kitchen equipped as advertised: dishes, cutlery, utensils, fridge and any listed appliances.

Safety and operations

Check locks, utilities, suitable detectors and emergency instructions. Write simple house rules for access, quiet hours, smoking and amenities. Plan a post-checkout inspection for cleaning, inventory, supplies and repairs.

A listing that answers questions

Photograph each room in good light, including the bathroom and entrance. Show a view, parking or workspace only if genuinely available. Complete the real amenities on Airbnb, Booking.com and Expedia, noting seasonal or paid features. Platforms say photos, listing quality, availability, price and reviews may affect visibility; no single feature guarantees a ranking.
