Repairs during a guest stay or between bookings

How we handle faults, agree on a solution with the owner and coordinate handyman repairs. The owner covers repair costs.

A fault may appear during a stay or in the short window between bookings. We identify the issue quickly, speak with the owner and agree on the best practical solution for the guest and the property.

During a stay

  1. We take the guest’s report and request useful details, including photos when possible.
  2. We assess urgency. A safety issue or failed essential amenity needs prompt attention; other work is scheduled with as little disruption as possible.
  3. We inform the owner, discuss options and estimated costs, and agree on an intervention. Emergency spending limits can be set in advance in our agreement.
  4. We arrange a trusted handyman or technician, agree on access with the guest and follow the repair through. If it cannot be fixed immediately, we explain the timing and available options.

Between bookings

A post-checkout inspection may reveal a leak, faulty lock or failed appliance. We document the issue, consult the owner, arrange the repair and check the result before the next arrival. Where time is too short, we discuss blocking the calendar temporarily or a suitable solution for the next booking.

Who covers the cost?

The owner pays for agreed repairs and materials, supported by the relevant invoices or receipts. We coordinate the work and report the cost. If evidence suggests a guest caused the damage, we document a separate claim and follow the applicable compensation process without assuming recovery is guaranteed.
